Celebrating Jonathan Adler’s World of Modern American Glamour
Potter, designer and author Jonathan Adler launched his namesake brand after leaving his day job to pursue his first love: pottery.
In 1993, Barneys bought his collection of pots, and five years later, he opened his first store in Soho. Jonathan’s desire to design all the bits one needs to create a flawlessly chic home led to more and more.
Today, the brand is a design company with retail locations worldwide, a thriving e-commerce site, a full slate of residential and commercial projects, and a wholesale business boasting over 1,000 locations globally. Jonathan and his team strive to create luxe and livable interiors - Modern American Glamour - that are seriously designed, but don’t take themselves too seriously.
Pottery continues to be core to Jonathan’s business and his commitment to impeccable craftsmanship and luxury is reflected in all he does. The result of all this passion, is of course some seriously swoon worthy interiors! His brand offerings span furniture, lighting, home accessories, decorative objects, tabletop collections, bedding, bath accessories, candles, rugs, pillows, and more. And the company’s design work can be found in top restaurants, hotels and houses around the world.
FIRST LOVE - THE MUSE COLLECTION
One of Jonathan’s most iconic and best selling Muse collection of pots, vases and sculptures is truly captivating - a porcelain homage to his favorite artists' muses, substituting the brands signature geometric relief patterns with surrealist body parts.
The matte finishing and exquisite forms make them such coveted pieces to own or even build up a whole collection of beauties to display on the mantle or side board for a sculptural statement that will definitely get your house guests talking.
OH GEORGIA
Inspired by American artist Georgia O’Keeffe, the Georgia Centre piece bowl and Cookie Jar provide a daring dining experience or coffee morning moment, bringing a celebration of provocation to the table. Inspired by American artist Georgia O'Keeffe, wife and muse to Alfred Stieglitz.
The collection also features an orb sculpture, a box and table lamp with the same cheeky designs to stunning effect. Featuring an artful cluster of idealized form topped with a white paper shade, the eye-catching orb rests on a solid brass base.
